Serena's Lineage
Malandante (1st picture) Gray PRE Stallion - 16hh - Sire is Genio III (famous black stallion pictured below) Bred by Luis Arenas of Mexico - known for his extraordinary eye for beauty and movement. Malandante was a dynamic horse with lovely elastic movement. To quote Caballos de los Cristiani, "Malandante was one of the most important PRE sires to consistently produce functional gaits for open dressage competition. He was the stallion at the center of our dressage breeding program for years." Serena inherited his conformation and movement.
El Agrarista (2nd picture) Black PRE Stallion - 16hh - Nicknamed Charro, he is the 'King of the Horses'. This picture was taken when he was at his prime as a magnificent black stallion - the first to come to the U.S. from Spain.
He is now in his 30th year and loves to babysit the youngsters. Charro continues to have a shinny coat and elegant demeanor. Still enjoys showing off his wonderful passage and Spanish walk.
Genio III (3rd picture) 16.3hh - Bred in Spain, born in Mexico and residing in the United States, Genio; an incredibly beautiful, black, Pure Spanish Andalusian stallion, is a superb example of the Pura Raza Española. Genio is a blue black stallion with a small white star.
He has a long elegant neck rising high out of his wide, muscular chest and he looks at you with beautiful, perfect triangular eyes.
His coat is fine, shiny and always silky to touch. He is a fabulous stallion, proven to stamp himself on his foals over and over again. Genio has made a mark for himself on Spanish horses being bred here in the United States, and his fame is spreading. Genio is the first U.S. Andalusian stallion, that we know of, to have one of his American born offspring exported to Europe, for breeding purposes.
Serena's new colt, Dante, already has a striking resemblance to Genio III - in conformation, movement and presence.
